It brought some new faces into the bakery in a week when we definitely needed it, as the snow meant a much quieter week than normal.
The only upside was, it left lots of time to continue trials on the vegan cakes. . . By the end of the week after many test batches, the carrot cake and the lemon & raspberry cake had been converted to vegan (leaving one cake as dairy-free), and we’d made 2 trial batches of sourdough vegan cinnamon rolls (we’re almost there on these).
