St Fagan’s Food Festival 6th & 7th Sept 2014

Segale (Italian Half Rye) in all its gloryWe always meet interesting people at food festivals. It's always great talking to customers directly and other stallholders who smile knowingly when you talk about the joy and headaches of running a small business. Last year at St Fagan's Food Festival we met a humble couple who talked about opening a coffee shop and would like to sell our bread. Nothing novel there – we get 3 or 4 enquiries a month from people planning to open a coffee shop who talk a good game. But like all the great doers in life this couple were introverted and modest. A year later The Plug in Dinas Powis, true to their word, is offering Tortoise bread and their toast is "to die for" (Trip Advisor). Our kind of people.
